Singapore's swimmers did not progress past the heats on the second day of the Fina World Championships in Barcelona.
Joseph Schooling clocked 1min 50.15sec in the 200m freestyle to finish 34th out of 69 competitors. He was less than a second away from his national record of 1:49.47.
Samantha Yeo swam 1:11.17 in the women's 100m breaststroke, but that was also not good enough to advance. She was 36th out of 60 swimmers.
Tao Li, who failed to move into the women's 100m butterfly final yesterday, also did not make it for the 100m backstroke. She timed 1:03.31 to finish 33rd out of 50.
