BARCELONA (AFP) - Lithuania's Ruta Meilutyte broke the women's 50 metres breaststroke world record on Saturday at swimming's world championships - just five days after breaking the 100m record.

The 16-year-old clocked 29.48secs, shaving 0.3 of a second off the record, set by Russia's Yuliya Efimova earlier on Saturday.
