SINGAPORE - A sunset training run will be held for 50 ST Run participants next Friday (May 26).

Held for the first time, the Sunset Run follows the ST Breakfast Run on May 19, where participants ended their 3km run with breakfast and a coffee appreciation session.

The Sunset Run will also take place over 3km, starting and ending at the B3 Burger Beer Bistro at Singapore Management University's (SMU) School of Information Systems.

After the run, participants will get to enjoy a meal and two bottles of cold pressed juices worth $25 in total. There will also be a live demonstration on how the cold pressed juices are made.

Participants can choose between mushroom aglio olio spaghetti, grilled pacific dory and a grilled chicken burger. There are also four types of juice available.

The bistro was conceptualised by the executive committee of the SMU Alumni Association, and general manager Edwin Lim hopes a successful partnership with the ST Run will illustrate the capabilities of his alma mater and its graduates.

"We want to do our part to contribute as SMU alumni," added the 30-year-old.

ST Run participants can log in to their runners' accounts to sign up for the Sunset Run at $5 per person.

All proceeds will go to The Straits Times' School Pocket Money Fund. The deadline for registration is 11.59pm on Thursday, or when slots have been sold out.

Registration is open for the July 16 ST Run, which will feature three categories: the 5km family run, the 10km and the 18.45km.

This year, all routes will end at the Padang for the first time.

The first edition in 2013 took place at the Punggol Waterway, and the next two were at the Singapore Sports Hub, before the race was moved to the Formula One Pit Building last year.
