ST Run: Race pack collection gets underway at Suntec City, today until Sunday from 11am-8pm

Retiree Morris Ng, 77, was the first person to collect his ST Run race pack.

SINGAPORE - Collection of The Straits Times Run in the City 2017 race pack started on Thursday (July 6) morning with crowds forming at Suntec City North Atrium, between Tower 1 and Tower 2.

Retiree Morris Ng, 77, was the first to receive his goody pack. This will be his third ST Run and he started queuing at 10.50am.

He said: "I love the (race) vest and the T-shirt because I'll be wearing it on my run. They have the personalisation (booth) and it's for a good cause.

"Even though it's $15 (to personalise), it's charity to the (Straits Times) School Pocket Money Fund."

Inside the tote bag is a New Balance "NB Dry" vest worth $49, a $200 Mobot cash voucher for buying e-mobility devices, True Fitness 10-day passes worth $110, as well as 40 per cent discount vouchers for all Compressport merchandise and an ST Run sweatband.

In addition, the first 150 runners each day will receive a free Panasonic VeggieLife salad, while the first 1,000 runners each day will receive a free can of 100Plus Active.

Participants can also personalise their race vests for $15. Half of the proceeds will go to The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund.

This year's run will be held on July 16 and will feature 5km, 10km and 18.45km categories.

All routes will take runners past Marina Bay Sands, Esplanade Bridge and the Singapore Flyer, and will end at the Padang, where a post-race carnival will be held.

Participants can collect their race packs until Sunday, from 11am-8pm.
