ST Run at the Hub: Take a picture of yourself preparing for run to win Panasonic products

TRACY Mok runs about three times weekly, and takes part in five mass runs every year. But she hates running.

Said the 44-year-old executive assistant, who started running two years ago: "I hate it. It's more of a challenge to myself, to push myself, to prove that the mind is stronger than the body."

But Mok, who is taking part in the Sept 28 ST Run at the Hub, is having fun gearing up for the landmark run, thanks to a photo contest backed by ST Run's presenting sponsor Panasonic.

To take part, participants need to snap a photo of themselves getting ready for the run and upload it onto Instagram with their race confirmation number and the #STRunPanasonic hashtag. The competition ends at 11.59pm on Friday.

"It's always fun to join a competition. It's also a good way for me to see others are preparing for the run, and maybe learn from their routines," said Mok, who is taking part in the 10m category.

"I'm also looking forward to finishing inside the National Stadium. It's going to be exciting."

A panel of judges will pick the 15 most interesting pictures, who stand to win home appliances and gadgets worth $15,000, including a six-door refrigerator, a 50-inch smart television set, and two LED television sets. Winners will be announced during the race carnival after the Sept 28 run.

Said ST sports editor Marc Lim: "Training for a run requires dedication and discipline. At times, it can become quite monotonous. But thanks to Panasonic, those preparing for the ST Run at the Hub can also have some fun while training hard."
