SINGAPORE - Chauffeur Mike Lee is one lucky man.
Having submitted only one coupon for The Straits Times (ST) Run at the Hub lucky draw to win the grand prize - a Land Rover Discovery Sport worth $165,000 (excluding Certificate of Entitlement) - his chances of winning were only one in 65,000, based on the total number of contest entries.
But the 61-year-old, who rides a motorcycle, beat the odds on Sunday morning to walk away with the highly sought after car.
It has been over 30 years since he last owned a car.
When asked what his thoughts were on winning, he admitted that he was "speechless" and "never expected to win".
He is still undecided on whether he wants to sell the car. He noted that owning a car is very expensive in Singapore and he will do some serious thinking once the shock of the win has passed.
