Dear ST reader,

Members of the historic 1994 football team are backing the current national players ahead of Singapore’s crunch tie against Hong Kong on Nov 18, with the winners earning a coveted Asian Cup berth.

Meanwhile, Singaporean athletes are fired up to do well at the upcoming SEA Games. These include chess player Tin Jingyao, who is buoyed by his double-bronze showing at the Asian Mind Sports Conference and Festival.
