Sports World: Paul beats Woodley to stay unbeaten

TAMPA (Florida) • Jake Paul, a YouTube sensation-turned-boxer, extended his perfect record after viciously knocking out former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in the sixth round of their rematch at the Amalie Arena on Saturday.

Paul, who improved his pro boxing record to 5-0, has now knocked out all four of his opponents and he next wants to fight UFC stars Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal.

Lewis tops knockout list with Daukaus win

LAS VEGAS • Derrick Lewis defeated Chris Daukaus by knockout in the first round of their heavyweight main event at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas on Saturday.

By stopping his fellow American at the 3min 36sec mark of the opening round, Lewis ascended to the top of the list for the most number of knockouts in the UFC with 13.

Ronaldo buys Brazil's Cruzeiro for $96m

RIO DE JANEIRO • Former Brazil striker Ronaldo said on Saturday that he had bought Cruzeiro, one of the country's biggest football clubs, where he made his professional debut.

In a deal coordinated by Brazilian investment bank XP, the 45-year-old paid 400 million reais (S$96.1 million) in a bid to improve Cruzeiro's fortunes, with the team languishing in Brazil's Serie B for the past two seasons.
