Last year's Asean Para Games gold medallist Yap Qian Yin will partner fellow sailor Jovin Tan at the Rio Paralympic Games in September.

Track and field athlete Norsilawati Sa'at also made the cut for the Sep 7-18 Games.

The final selection for the Republic's lone male slot in athletics will be revealed at a later date.


Bartoli voices fears over mystery ailment

LONDON • Former Wimbledon winner Marion Bartoli, 31, fears for her life after picking up a mystery virus - when flying between Australia, New York and India in January and February this year - which has caused dramatic weight loss.

She told a British television show that the virus is so rare that medical experts have no name for it.

Woods in PGA field but doubts remain

NEW YORK • Tiger Woods, the former world No. 1 who has been sidelined since last August, was among those listed on Wednesday in an updated field for the PGA Championship later this month.
