JAKARTA • Despite pushing his world No. 15 opponent to a tense decider, Singapore shuttler Derek Wong lost to Englishman Rajiv Ouseph yesterday in his Indonesia Open opener.

The world No. 64 fell 14-21, 23-21, 18-21, ending his campaign in the Premier Superseries event.


Kings' Collison to face felony charge

LOS ANGELES • Sacramento Kings guard Darren Collison is facing a felony domestic violence charge. According to a police report, the National Basketball Association player faces one count of inflicting corporal injury to a spouse or cohabitant, and two misdemeanour charges for driving on a suspended licence after his arrest on Monday.

LONDON • Philippe Bianchi yesterday accused drivers and Formula One insiders of being scared to speak out about the death of his son Jules following an accident at the Japanese Grand Prix in 2014.

"When (there are) no cameras, people come to me to say, 'No it is not correct, Jules did nothing (wrong). They (the organisers) made the mistake,'" he said.
