Wenger keen on another Lemar bid

LONDON • Arsene Wenger has said that he will revisit his interest in Monaco forward Thomas Lemar, after confirming Arsenal tabled a late £92 million (S$162 million) bid for the France international before Thursday's transfer deadline.

The English football club's manager said Arsenal met Monaco's €100 million asking price for the 21-year-old but that Lemar decided against a move away from the Ligue 1 champions.

Pacquiao won't give up on Horn rematch

MANILA • Philippine boxing legend Manny Pacquiao made it clear yesterday that he is still interested in a rematch with Australian Jeff Horn, despite an announcement last week that he had pulled out of their scheduled bout later this year.

The 38-year-old had initially called for a rematch after losing his World Boxing Organisation welterweight title to the 29-year-old Horn on points in a major upset on July 2.
