Lee brothers win diving silver for S'pore
Singapore divers Mark and Timothy Lee yesterday clinched a silver in the men's synchronised 3m springboard at the Fina Diving Grand Prix in Gold Coast, Australia. The twin brothers finished with 342.09 points, ahead of Malaysia's Ooi Tze Liang and Chew Yiwei (331.17). The gold went to China's Huang Bowen and Xie Siyi (409.92).
M'sia inks five-year MotoGP extension
KUALA LUMPUR • Malaysia's Sepang circuit agreed yesterday to extend its MotoGP event until 2021, in contrast to rumblings that it may drop its loss-making Formula One race.
A five-year extension of Sepang's contract with Dorna Sports, MotoGP's commercial rights holder, was signed yesterday, officials said. The current contract expires this year.

Williams recovering from pneumonia
MEXICO CITY • Formula One team founder and majority shareholder Frank Williams is recovering from pneumonia, Williams chief executive Mike O'Driscoll said on Friday. He told reporters at the Mexican Grand Prix that Williams, 74, had taken ill at the Italian race in September.
