Indonesia's Inez takes lead at Sembawang

Indonesian golfer Beatrice Inez fired an opening two-under 70 yesterday at the Singapore Ladies' Golf Association Amateur Open.

She leads Singapore's Jen Goh by a single stroke at the Sembawang Country Club.

The World Amateur Golf Ranking event, which ends tomorrow, has attracted 54 women from 10 countries including Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Taiwan and India.

Riise the new recruit for Delhi Dynamos

NEW DELHI • Former Liverpool defender John Arne Riise has joined Frenchman Florent Malouda and Brazil legend Roberto Carlos at the Delhi Dynamos for the second season of the Indian Super League.

The former Norway international said yesterday that he was honoured to be teaming up with Carlos for the 10-week tournament.
