Charity Bowl raises $271k for Community Chest

Singapore Turf Club's $1 million Group 1 Giovanni Racing Charity Bowl concluded with $270,736 raised for the Community Chest.

The funds raised will be directed to benefit children with special needs and youth at risk from social-service organisations such as Beyond Social Services, Rainbow Centre and Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore.

Six strokes back, Bubba recovers to win by three

CROMWELL (Connecticut) • Bubba Watson stormed back from six strokes behind in the final round to win the Travellers Championship by three shots on Sunday.

He carded a seven-under 63 at TPC River Highlands to finish at 17-under 263 and become the first three-time winner on the PGA Tour this year.

Japanese teen golfer sets Arkansas record

WASHINGTON • Japan's Nasa Hataoka, 19, captured her first LPGA title in style, firing an eight-under 63 on Sunday to win the Northwest Arkansas Championship by six strokes.

She finished 54 holes at Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers, Arkansas, on 21-under 192, the lowest in tournament history.
