AALBORG (Denmark) • National bowler Bernice Lim finished third at the EBT Masters on Monday.

The 25-year-old earned €1,500 (S$2,324) for her bronze medal at the Lovvang Bowling Centre.

She was the second seed from the qualification rounds but lost 213-247 to third seed Joline Persson Planefors from Sweden in the step-ladder finals.

Junior paddlers ousted in qualifying

DUSSELDORF (Germany) • None of the lower-ranked Singapore doubles paddlers made it to the main draw of the World Table Tennis Championships.

Senior pairings Gao Ning/Pang Xue Jie (men), Feng Tianwei/Yu Mengyu (women) and Pang/Yu (mixed) were due to start the campaigns in the round of 64 last night.

Play-offs wiped out, so S'pore finish third

KAMPALA (Uganda) • With all World Cricket League Division 3 play-offs abandoned due to rain yesterday, the round-robin positions applied at the end of the six-nation event.

Singapore were third, behind winners Oman and Canada, who were both promoted. The United States were fourth, while Uganda (fifth) and Malaysia were relegated.
