$100k from Etiqa for charity golf event

Etiqa Insurance has pledged $100,000 to sponsor Jurong Country Club's bi-annual charity golf event today. An estimated $150,000 is expected to be raised.

Proceeds will benefit The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund, Lakeside Family Centre, Society for the Aged Sick and Association for Persons with Special Needs.


Hochbaum on global netball body's board

Former national netball captain and the honorary secretary of Netball Singapore, Gaby Hochbaum, was appointed a board member of the International Netball Federation (INF) at its recent congress in Sydney.

She took up her role as the regional director of INF's board for a four-year term from Tuesday.


Tampines held 0-0 by Balestier

Tampines Rovers were held to a 0-0 draw by Balestier Khalsa at last night's S-League match at the Jalan Besar Stadium. Balestier are fourth with 26 points, while Tampines are four points behind in fifth.
