SINGAPORE - In recent months, Singaporean athletes have been pedalling down the streets in Belgium, plunging into the Mediterranean, hurling bowling balls in the United States and trading smashes with an Olympic badminton champion in Dubai.

While such activities were commonplace prior to the pandemic, they have been a rarity since Covid-19 struck, particularly for those stuck here.
