In a thrilling contest at the OCBC Arena, the Slingers fell to a narrow 70-72 loss against their stronger opponents despite leading by nine points during the third quarter, but faded in the final quarter.

The Slingers will meet Korean side Seoul Samsung Thunders in the third-place play-off today, before the final between Chinese team Shanghai Sharks and the Mighty Sports.

The Sharks had beaten the Thunders 76-70 in the earlier semi-final.
