Singaporeans in Russia: A conductor who found love and a chef who found a place to express his talents

MOSCOW - It does not exactly follow the script of From Russia With Love, but conductor Amos Chia has most certainly found true love in Russia in both his work and personal life, as two twists of fate have shaped his future for good.
The 28-year-old, who is one of less than 100 Singaporeans living in Russia, told The Straits Times: "I was studying piano and composition in London before I came over, and got into conducting by accident when I had to step in to conduct the conservatory orchestra for an indisposed conductor.
