Republic will be one of the stops for the TV-friendly series Super League Triathlon

Singapore will host the world's top triathletes next year, with the Republic set to be one of the stops for the Super League Triathlon. The league, which made its debut in the British isle of Jersey last year, is a TV-friendly series organised by a group that includes four-time world champion Chris McCormack.

It targets the top 25 men and women in the world, and the likes of two-time Olympic champion Alistair Brownlee and women's world No. 2 Katie Zaferes have been confirmed for the Singapore leg, which will take place in February or March next year.
