Singapore paddler wins bronze at Asian Junior Table Tennis Championships

Singapore's paddlers have scored their first medal in the 19th Asian Junior Table Tennis Championships in Doha, Qatar.

Lin Ye, from the national junior girls' team, won the bronze in the singles event despite struggling with a knee injury.

The 17-year-old beat China's Zhang Rui 4-2 in the round of 16 and South Korea's Kim Nam Hae by the same score in the quarter-finals before losing 1-4 to China's Chen Xingtong in the semi-final.
