Concerns over safety at sports events after hockey player suffers stroke from match injury

SINGAPORE - The Singapore Hockey Federation (SHF) will deploy ambulances at its remaining domestic league matches over the next two weekends, following a serious injury to one of its players last weekend.

SHF president Mathavan Devadas told The Straits Times on Thursday (June 6) that this will be in place until the association meets the clubs to "formulate a more robust policy" on dealing with injuries more efficiently.
