Team need to be stronger in faster format to do well in regional competitions, says Khoo

Japan's improbable run at the Rugby World Cup has been a shining example of how unfancied teams can punch above their weight and Singapore Rugby Union (SRU) president Terence Khoo hopes to start a similar movement here.

Khoo, 48, was re-elected for his second two-year term on July 31, and told The Sunday Times earlier this week his priority for this next phase will be high performance across the various national teams.
