Singapore's swim team ended their campaign at the SEA Games in Naypyidaw, Myanmar, with a haul of two golds, three silvers and three bronzes on Monday, the last day of the swimming competition.

Joseph Schooling cruised to victory in the men's 200m butterfly, taking gold in 1min 59.46sec, more than two seconds ahead of team-mate Quah Zheng Wen who was second. But he missed out on a perfect record of six golds from six events entered when the men's 4x100m medley relay team finished second behind defending champions Indonesia, clocking 3:43.62.

Amanda Lim made it a three-peat of women's 50m freestyle titles, winning the event in a new Games record of 25.69s.

Swim queen Tao Li suffered an upset in the women's 200m butterfly event. The 2008 Olympic finalist settled for bronze with a time of 2:14.51 after leaving it too late to make a surge. She was beaten to second by team-mate Quah Ting Wen (2:14.42). Thailand's Patarawadee Kittiya took gold with 2:13.83.

Meagan Lim also picked up a bronze in the women's 400m individual medley, while Quah Zheng Wen was third in the men's 200m freestyle.

Singapore finished as the top swimming nation, winning 11 golds, nine silvers and 10 bronzes.
