Singapore snared a bronze medal in Yangon on Wednesday, when shooter Abel Lim clinched an individual bronze in the 50m rifle prone event.

The 20-year-old had qualified for the final in fifth position with 614.3 points, but improved to third in the final, scoring 180.3 points to finish behind Vietnam's Nguyen Than Dat (201.3) and Thailand's Napis Thortungpanich (200.0).

At one point in the final, Lim was languishing in seven spot, but he roared into taking the lead by the 14th shot before eventually settling for third place.

The Singapore team of Lim, Ong Jun Hong and Kasmijan Kimin finished in fourth place, behind gold medallists Thailand, second-placed Vietnam and third-placed Myanmar.
