SINGAPORE - When footballer Nor Aqmar Shamil Norsham enrolled in the Singapore Sports School (SSP) in 2020, he was looking forward to competing in the National School Games (NSG).

But the pandemic hit that year and with football omitted from the NSG in the last two years, the Secondary Three student has yet to play a competitive game for SSP.
