School Sports: Victoria School clinches first ever table tennis title

Victoria School achieved a landmark victory in the Schools National Table Tennis Team Championships at Pasir Ris Sports and Recreation Centre on Tuesday, defeating defending B Division champions Raffles Institution (RI) to take their first ever table tennis title.

It was a rematch of last year's final, in which RI won 3-0, but Victoria turned the tables this year with a 3-2 victory. Teacher-in-charge Wen Nai Hui said: "The boys have worked very hard for this so they deserved it. I am touched that their hard work has paid off."

RI did however retain their boys' C Division and the girls' and boys' A Division titles.

In the girls' B and C Divisions, Raffles Girls' School lost their C Division title to Singapore Sports School, but managed to defeat Nanyang Girls' High School to claim the B Division title.
