School sports: St Hilda's win B division volleyball boys' title, Jurong claims girls' crown

SINGAPORE- In the Schools National B division boys' volleyball final, powerhouses St Hilda's Secondary School defeated first-time finalists Fairfield Methodist School 2-0 (25-18,25-15) on Wednesday at the Toa Payoh Sports Hall.

With little to separate both teams in the first set, St Hilda's pulled away in the second set to clinch their fourth championship in five years.

St Hilda's captain Ajay Singh said: "We played great and did our best. Our opponents might have been first-time finalists but we didn't underestimate them."

"We did a lot of preparation to find out what were their weaknesses and strengths."

In the girls final, also held at the Toa Payoh Sports Hall, Jurong Secondary School beat Presbyterian High School 2-0 (25-23, 25-17), claiming their sixth title - A B Division record.
