REGENT Secondary School retained their Schools' West Zone B Division football title after a penalty shootout victory over Hong Kah Secondary on Friday morning.

The match, played at Tanglin Secondary, saw both sides unable to find a way past each other in 80 minutes of normal time and the additional 20 minutes of extra-time.

Eventually, a 4-3 victory in the shootout, courtesy of Nur Halim's successful conversion after two missed spot kicks by Hong Kah, ensured that the Regent footballers got their hands on the West Zone trophy once again.

Both teams will join Assumption English School and Jurongville Secondary next week as the West Zone representatives in the Schools' Nationals B Division competition.
