SINGAPORE - Over the past six weeks, Montfort Junior School's Aufa Basya has learnt about sports psychology as well as fitness and conditioning.

The Primary 4 pupil is among some 220 student-athletes who are part of the Montfort Sports Excellence (MSPEX) Programme that was launched last month with the aim of developing a pool of elite athletes for the nation.
