School sports: Bowen girls thrash Greenview 5-1 in C Division football final

SINGAPORE - Bowen Secondary School's girls football team saved their best performance for the final of the Schools National C Division tournament, as they resoundingly beat Greenview Secondary 5-1 at Serangoon Stadium on Monday.

The defending champions were quick off the blocks, scoring three goals in the opening 10 minutes, courtesy of Nur Syakirah (1st minute), Mira Ruzana (3rd) and Dinah Sajidah (9th).

Greenview Secondary, who last played in the final in 2010, reduced the deficit just before the first half through Nur Afiqah.

However, Nikki Nur Jannah secured victory for Bowen with a brace in the second half. With the win, Bowen also avenge a 1-3 loss to Greenview in an earlier stage of the tournament.
