SINGAPORE - Despite having won her pet event - the discus throw - last Friday, Jasmin Phua still had more competitions lined up this week, and with that, more gold.

The Nanyang Girls' High School (NYGH) student set a new schools national record in the B Division girls' shot put competition at Hwa Chong Institution's (HCI) field on April 10, with her 12.73m effort eclipsing Jocelyn Yeo's 11-year-old record of 12.66m.

The C Division girls shot put event which took place earlier, saw Cedar Girls' Eugenia Long clinch gold with 9.83m, while Victoria Junior College's Desiree Tan won the A Division category with 11.11m.

In the discus, HCI's Bowen Xin (41.06m) and Catholic High's Sebastian Ong (42.53m) came in first in the C and B Divisions respectively. HCI's Eric Yee ended the day by taking home the A Division discus gold with 51.87m.
