Mulyo, who groomed Olympic champ Taufik, is confident of raising level of singles shuttlers

As Singapore's new national singles head coach, Mulyo Handoyo has been tasked with raising the general standard of the Republic's singles shuttlers.

The 58-year-old Indonesian started work last month but was officially unveiled yesterday at the Temasek Club, where he presented prizes at the Global Eduhub Championships. Towards the end of a 30-minute interview with The Straits Times, Mulyo was asked how long it would take for the players to start to excel in big competitions under his guidance.
