Singapore Athletics' (SA) executive director Syed Abdul Malik Aljunied on Wednesday filed his defence against the defamation lawsuit brought about by national marathoner Soh Rui Yong.

The Straits Times understands the official is putting forward the defence there was justification in his remarks and that they were fair comment.
