S-League: Tampines continue perfect start to season; Warriors crash once again

Defending S-League champions Tampines Rovers continued their perfect start to the season with a 2-1 win over Malaysia's Harimau Muda at Clementi Stadium.

The victory, Tampines' fifth on the trot, sends them to the top of the 12-team table on a maximum of 15 points, ahead of Albirex Niigata on goal difference.

Veteran striker Aleksandar Duric, 43, opened the scoring in the 54th minute before attacking midfielder Shahdan Sulaiman added a second in the 79th. Harimau Muda replied in stoppage time through striker Akmal Ishak.

At the Toa Payoh Stadium, Balestier Khalsa beat Warriors FC 2-0 with goals from midfielder Ruhaizad Ismail (seventh minute) and midfielder Park Kang Jin (45th minute) to move into fourth place on nine points.

The defeat, the Warriors' third in five games, have left the eight-time champions in 10th place on four points.
