Rugby: Singapore move up to 56th in world rankings after victory over Chinese Taipei

Singapore ended their Asian Tri-Nations rugby campaign on a high with a hard-fought 30-19 win over Chinese Taipei on Saturday evening.

The result moved the Reds up two spots to 56th on the world rankings.

Substitute Reiner Leong was the hero for the hosts, scoring three tries in front of a 2,000-strong crowd at the Yio Chu Kang Stadium.

Flanker Gabriel Lee and No. 8 Peter McFeely added two more tries after the break.

Singapore had lost to tournament winners Hong Kong 'A' 25-35 last week.
