Rugby: New Zealand continue unbeaten run, blood inexperienced players in Japan test

TOKYO (REUTERS) - New Zealand kept their winning run intact this season with an eight-try, 54-6 victory over a combative and tenacious Japan side in their rugby test match today.

The All Blacks efficiently put away their scoring chances while the home side were hemmed inside their own territory for much of the game.

The world champions had said they wanted to use the match to introduce some of their less experienced players to test rugby.

Japan had a troubled build-up with coach Eddie Jones hospitalised with a stroke last month.

The All Blacks, who have now won all 11 of their tests this year, head to Paris to meet France on Nov 9 while Japan will play Scotland at Murrayfield in Edinburgh.
