Over the weekend, 22 schoolboys took part in an intensive training camp under former New Zealand All Black Scott Waldrom for a chance to be selected for a training stint at Super Rugby side Wellington Hurricanes next year.

The Hurricanes are the side where the late Jonah Lomu played his professional rugby and Waldrom is his former team-mate.

The two Singaporeans selected today will spend two weeks with the Hurricanes, who boast five All Blacks who won last month's Rugby World Cup.

The Heroes in the Making training camp is part of the HSBC Singapore Rugby Sevens youth outreach programme and all participants also earned a chance to watch the World Rugby Sevens tournament at the National Stadium on April 16 and 17 next year.
