Exocet is ready to fire first-up after long layoff

Race 1 (1,200m)

(16) ONE PEPPER returns from a break and gelding. Up against Vibe Check and Kazanoyoni at his last start. Should go close if fit.
(2) DIAVAL was well supported on debut, starting favourite. He raced green and the experience should have brought him on.
(11) BULLET CATCH started at long odds behind stablemate Omkhulu Boss but was not far back. Third run on the course and should run a forward race.
(5) MAGGIANO made a promising debut behind long-time maiden Tipperary. Will strip fitter.

Race 2 (1,200m)

(9) FLEUR DELACOUR started at long odds on debut but finished with a flourish to fail narrowly over course and distance. She can go one better on that showing.
(8) THELEIA was disappointing in her first local run when starting favourite. However, that was her first run back from a break and she looks capable of making amends.
(5) ABBEY’S WORLD improved second time out over course and distance. Progressive.
(15) WILLOW VALLI has shown up well in two starts and was a beaten favourite last time.

Race 3 (1,600m)

(9) SCOTT’S BAR was a beaten favourite over a sprint last time. Steps up to a mile, which should suit.
Stablemate (3) TARANAKI NOMAD was green on debut on Poly. Slowly away and took a hefty bump in the running. Will come on from that effort.
(1) REIGN MAN also steps up in trip and made a promising sprint debut. Drawn the best and should much prefer this distance.
(2) PEACE SIGN has started at long odds in both starts and showed some promise last time. He gets first-time blinkers and is one to watch in the betting.

Race 4 (1,600m)

(1) ANOTHER DREAM has joint top weight but has shown up well in two recent starts over course and distance.
(8) GOLD GOLD BABY is unbeaten in two starts in blinkers, the last over course and distance and can win again.
(4) HEAVENLY MAFIA finished just under two lengths back to her stablemate but is now 2.5kg better off. Light weight rider Cole Dicken is aboard.

(3) PRETTY KARA has shown up well in two recent starts over course and distance.

Race 5 (1,000m)

(7) EXOCET returns from a lengthy break but has won two of his three starts and has a reputation of being highly promising. Fit and well, he may be the one to beat.
(3) VIHAAN’S WEB has won over course and distance and seldom runs a poor race. Should Exocet fail to fire he could be the one to pick up the pieces.
(2) DONQUERARI is always dangerous over this trip and has a 4kg claimer aboard.
(4) AFRICAN SKYLINE gets first-time blinkers with a 4kg claimer aboard and should be included in your calculations.

Race 6 (1,400m)

(4) TWOCANTANGO is lightly raced and has his third run after a lengthy break. He showed up well on this course last time and gets the services of Gavin Lerena.

(2) FLAMETHROWER takes on older horses under a big weight. He does get 4kg relief, which could see him come up trumps against some solid handicappers.
(5) GLOBAL MOVEMENT is slowly coming down in the handicap and now looks to be off a more competitive mark.
(7) NAVAJO DANCER has useful Qatari rider Saleh Salem Al-Marri aboard and is seldom too far back.

Race 7 (1,400m)

(1) RUN FOREST RUN is lightly raced but has been knocking on the door for some time now. Will break from the best of the draws.
(4) KITCHAKAL has been dropping in the ratings and now looks to be off a more competitive mark. Big weight, but he is down in class.
(8) TURBO TWENTY has won over course and distance. Was narrowly beaten last time on the Poly.
(7) MEERKAT MOON won well on the Poly last start but got a six-point jump in the ratings. He has improved in blinkers and has a strong money chance.

Race 8 (1,200m)

(10) LADY GODIVA was a beaten favourite on the Poly last run but was not far back. She had excellent previous form in strong company and at best, should run well again.
(9) SHOWGIRL has started favourite at her last three outings, the last over course and distance after returning from a lengthy break. Has come on from that effort.
(2) LAST MARGARITA has shown her best recent form on the Poly but is still improving.
(4) DAWN SURPRISE is a Poly specialist having finished runner-up at her last three. She has run well enough on the turf in the past and should be thereabouts again.
