The Singapore Airlines International Cup (SIA Cup) and its sister race, KrisFlyer International Sprint, have unveiled the list of horses participating in Singapore's two International Group 1 races on May 18.
The races have attracted a total of 164 entries from 16 countries with 38 participants coming locally.
The $3 million SIA Cup (2,000m) has attracted 96 entries this year, headed by defending champion, Hong Kong's Military Attack.
Joining the thoroughbred in the line up are winners of other Group 1 races such as The Fugue (Irish Champion Stakes), Vercingetorix (Jebel Hatta), Akeed Mofeed (Longines Hong Kong Cup), Boban (Chipping Norton Stakes) and Joshua Tree (Canadian International).
The $1 million KrisFlyer International Sprint (1,200m), which is the fourth leg of the Global Sprint Challenge (GSC), Krisflyer International Sprint(1200m) has attracted two previous winners in Hong Kong's Lucky Nine and the locally-trained hero Rocket Man.
Completing the line-up are established names such as Australia's Triple group 1 winner Moment of Change, Irish sprinter Gordon Lord Byron and Hong Kong's Rich Tapestry.
