National pole vaulter Rachel Yang is shocked and seeking answers after finding out she was not on the list of athletes who made the first cut to compete at the Aug 18-Sept 2 Asian Games in Indonesia.

Yang, 36, had been nominated by Singapore Athletics (SA) and had expected to be selected because she met the Singapore National Olympic Council's (SNOC) criteria of a sixth-placed finish at the Asiad.
