Edwin Ker (left), Singapore Swimming Association (SSA) executive director, and Bob Gambardella (centre), Singapore Sports Institute chief, presenting Goy Soon Lan, Republic Polytechnic's (RP)'s director, School of Sports, Health & Leisure, with a token of appreciation after the signing of a memorandum of understanding. The partnership will allow students from the polytechnic to be involved in research, development and implementation of best practices in aquatics so as to improve the quality of swimming. SSA athletes will get to work with students and faculty from RP to receive additional sport science support to complement their training programmes.
