National sailors Cecilia Low and Kimberly Lim were having coffee with two-time British Olympic sailing champion Iain Percy in Portugal last month when the topic of Peter Cunningham, who had at the time been about two months into his role as high performance director of Singapore Sailing, came up.

Recalling the conversation, Low told The Straits Times: "(Percy) told us he'd been working with Pete for the longest time, and that we should follow his advice because he has a lot of experience and knowledge."
