Olympics: Ukraine nordic skier Lisogor fails dope test, says substance in medicine

SOCHI, Russia (AFP) - The Ukrainian cross country skier Marina Lisogor has tested positive for a banned substance at the Sochi Olympic Games, the Ukrainian Olympic Committee said on Saturday.

The 30-year-old, who is coached by her husband Vladyslav, told a disciplinary hearing that she had unwittingly consumed the banned substance in a medicine.

"The decision about the future fate of the athlete will be taken in line with IOC rules," the Ukrainian Olympic Committee said.

Lisogor finished 58th in both the sprint free qualification and 10km classic.
