The margin between winning and losing was just a fraction of a second, but the satisfaction was no less for both Nanyang Junior College (NYJC) and St Joseph's Institution (SJI) at the DBS Marina Regatta.

In the Boys' A Division DB12 dragonboat final yesterday, NYJC won in 56.585sec, less than a second faster than runners-up SJI, who clocked 57.381.
