Thai-Kiwi runner Tony "Ah Thit" Payne does not know Singapore's Soh Rui Yong well, but he would definitely like to. His choice of a get-to-know-you session, however, would ideally be while both men are pounding the streets, jostling for top spot in the marathon.

Payne, currently the fastest marathoner in South-east Asia after clocking 2hr 16min 56sec at last year's Frankfurt Marathon, was looking forward to pitting himself against the two-time SEA Games champion. The men's marathon starts in Clark tomorrow at 6am.
