Just a week ago, newly licensed apprentice jockey M Nizar celebrated his first career win at his eighth ride, aboard $70 outsider Silent Arrow.

The 32-year-old Sembawang resident admitted then he still had a long way to go but the win would give him more confidence. After all, success breeds confidence.
