SINGAPORE -The scoreboard at the OCBC Arena read: Singapore 103 Japan 3. Later that Saturday, there was another result with a yawning gap at the Asian Netball Championship: Sri Lanka 102 India 14.

While the public's reaction to the hosts' victory was greeted with joy and praise online, there have been mixed reactions over whether such massive scorelines are positive developments for the sport.
