MMA: Unbeaten records on the line as Lee defends One C'ship atomweight title against Nunes

SINGAPORE - Two-time muay thai world champion Istela Nunes is in town for her championship match against local favourite Angela Lee.

The 24-year-old said:"I've been training for about seven months actually, getting ready for this fight against Angela."

Her last fight was against Mei Yamaguchi last August. She then took a month off to rest and resumed training after for this title shot.

One Championship's Dynasty of Heroes will be held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on May 26 at 7pm (local time).

The mixed martial arts championship's welterweight world champion Ben Askren will take on Agilan Thani of Malaysia in the co-main event.

Both woman fighters are currently unbeaten, with Lee boasting a 7-0 record, and Nunes a 5-0 record.

Nunes said: "I have had experience fighting in hostile arenas before."

"I'm really prepared and am going to throw her down. Everyone should come and watch the event, it's going to be a great show."
