MMA: S'pore fighters in action for One Championship's Nov 24 live event at Indoor Stadium

SINGAPORE - A clutch of Singapore fighters will be in action in November for the One Championship live event One: Immortal Pursuit at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

The mixed martial arts promoter released the full fight card for the Nov 24 event on Monday (Oct 23) which features 10 bouts.

The main event will see women's atomweight champion Angela Lee, who is of Korean and Singaporean descent, defend her title against Japanese veteran Mei Yamaguchi.

Both women had fought in 2016 with Lee triumphing to claim the new title.

Singaporean Amir Khan, who holds a 9-2 professional record and has won his last five fights, will face Australian Adrian Pang (22-10-2) in the lightweight contest.

Khan's compatriots May Ooi will face Cambodia's Vy Srey Khouch in the strawweight class while flyweight Tiffany Teo takes on Indian Pooja Tomar.

The co-main event of the night will see American welterweight champion Ben Askren, in his last professional fight before retiring, face former lightweight champion Shinya Aoki of Japan.
